  It’s like spring cleaning for your computer!  I recently used a free cleaning/system optimizing tool called CCleaner (the techies affectionately call it “Crap Cleaner”), and my 2004 Dell is running good as new.  It removes unused files and frees up hard disk space faster than you can say “clean”.  It found over 5,000 unused files on my computer.  Go to their website to see a list of everything it will clean.  Mac users will have to find an alternative – this is only for Windows.

  Thanks for posting this! I’ve run it on my ancient desktop and hope it will speed it up a bit. You were right – it runs really fast.
